چکیده

We have already developed a speech analysis method based on the Glottal-ARMAX (Auto Regressive and Moving Average eXogenous) model, in which the speech production model is supposed to be an ARMAX vocal tract model and two kinds of excitation: glottal source model excitation and white Gaussian. The speech analysis method based on the Glottal-ARMAX model can estimate the glottal source and ARMAX model parameters simultaneously with pitch synchronous. In this paper, a subband processing with QMF lterbank or Haar lterbank is introduced to the Glottal-ARMAX method in order to reduce the computation. The introduction makes it possible to reduce computation since the orders of ARMAX identication can be set smaller than that of fullband analysis. The introduction also enables to improve an estimation accuracy of the glottal source model parameters owing to the improved resolution in the frequency domain.

A time varying ARMAX speech modeling with phase compensation using glottal source model

This paper presents new speech analysis method based on a Glottal-ARMAX (Auto Regressive and Moving Average eXogenous) model with phase compensation. A Glottal-ARMAX model consists of two kinds of inputs: glottal source model excitation and a white gauss input, and a vocal tract ARMAX model. The proposed method can simultaneously estimate the glottal source model and vocal tract ARMAX model par...

Combination of Linear Prediction and Phase Decomposition for Glottal Source Analysis on Voiced Speech

Some glottal analysis approaches based upon linear prediction or complex cepstrum approaches have been proved to be effective to estimate glottal source from real speech utterances. We propose a new approach employing both an all-pole oddorder linear prediction to provide a coarse estimation and phase decomposition based causality/anti-causality separation to generate further refinements. The o...

Estimation of LF glottal source parame

We propose a method to estimate the glottal flow based on the ARX model of speech production and on the LF model of glottal flow. This method splits the analysis in two stages: a low frequency analysis to estimate the glottal source parameters which have mainly a low pass effect and a second step to refine the parameters which have also a high pass effect. Along with this new analysis scheme, w...

On the Inverse Filtering of Speech

ON THE INVERSE FILTERING OF SPEECH George P. Kafentzis Computer Science Department Master of Science In all proposed source-filter models of speech production, Inverse Filtering (IF) is a well known technique for obtaining the glottal flow waveform, which acts as the source in the vocal tract system. The estimation of glottal flow is of high interest in a variety of speech areas, such as voice ...
